History

Founding Immigration Attorney Adrienne J. Vaughan has more than 20 years of experience exclusively practicing US immigration law. Following law school, she worked for a decade as an associate immigration attorney at a respected downtown Boston immigration firm where her practice focused on employment and family immigration law. She started her own firm in 2012 in Boston where she continues to focus on employment and family cases.

Clients

She has worked with multi-national companies, small start-ups, premier hospitals and universities to retain talented professionals in the fields of computer science, business, research, teaching, and medicine, among many others. She has also represented a wide range of individuals in family or marriage-based immigration (green card) matters.

She has appeared frequently at hearings in the New England district offices of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and has prepared a wide range of complex applications before that agency. She has extensive experience preparing applications for the United States Department of Labor (DOL) including Labor Certifications (PERM). She has a large caseload of family petitions that process through the National Visa Center and United States Department of State and consulates around the world as well as employment based petitions (H-1B, L-1A/B, O-1A/B, E3, TN).

Industry Associations

Attorney Vaughan is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and its New England chapter. For the last 4 years she has served as an elected member of The New England Chapter Executive Board. She is currently The Chair of The 900 Member New England Chapter. Through this vast network of immigration lawyers and their daily news and message boards, as well as other respected sources, she stays current on breaking national immigration news, caselaw and analysis.

Professional Engagements

Adrienne is a frequent attendee and contributor at regional and national immigration conferences; this includes having served for three years as an Editor of the NE AILA Chapter conference publication; serving as co-chair of the AILA NE conference committee, two speaking engagements at the AILA NE conference, and twice serving as an invited presenter at the AILA National Conference. She has also served as co-chair of an immigration conference for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) as well an invited speaker on business immigration. Adrienne presents at entrepreneur centers as well as local universities on options for both temporary and permanent immigration solutions. She also has volunteered for several years providing pro bono legal services at clinics formerly at the Irish International Immigration Center of Boston (RIAN) and now the City of Boston Immigration Clinics.

Licensure

Adrienne  is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and also before the United States District (federal) Court. As immigration law is federal, she frequently represents clients around the US and around the world.

Education and Background

Adrienne is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and earned her law degree magna cum laude from Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota. Her article on the Violence Against Women Act was published in 2000 in the Hamline Law Review. During law school she clerked for Judge Joseph Dierkes at the U.S. Immigration Court in Bloomington, MN, as well as a private immigration practitioner in St. Paul. She worked for a decade following law school at Costa & Riccio LLP in Boston.

Personal

Adrienne has a profound love of travel and loves meeting and speaking to people from different cultures. She is honored to work with those who lend their impressive intellect to our great nation or give the greatest gift of joining their families with our melting pot. She continues to believe that immigrants are among the most dynamic, interesting and admirable members of our society. The child of immigrant parents, she has a fundamental understanding of the importance that every case has in the lives of her clients and treats each client with respect and appreciation.
